Saskatoon weather: Extreme cold warning with high winds this morning, snow possible this afternoon

High winds and strong gusts through the day increase risk of frostbite, though the extreme cold warning is expected to ease this afternoon.

A look at Thursday’s Saskatoon weather by Environment Canada.

It’s -24 C at Saskatoon Diefenbaker International Airport this morning, with 25 km winds coming out of the northwest and a wind chill making it feel like -37.

The extreme cold warning has returned for the morning, though it’s expected to let up this afternoon with a light snow.

Throughout the day, high winds increase the risk of frostbite, so be sure to bundle up tight when you head out, even if it’s just a few minutes.
