Aretha Franklin when worked with 3 makeup artists to prep her for a single occasion, according to a long time buddy.
Obviously, the renowned vocalist generated leading star makeup male Reggie Wells, another artist simply to deal with her eyes, and “another woman [who] originated from Detroit to do her lips” for a look at Radio City Music Hall.
Franklin’s previous press agent Gwendolyn Quinn exposed the wonderful tale in a homage to Wells, whose household revealed his death on Monday.
And it appears that Wells, who didn’t understand about the other 2 up until he got to Radio City, wasn’t delighted about the plans.
“Reggie was DONE and I remained in the middle of [the fallout],” she published in an Instagram homage to Wells
[Wells] injury up ending up whatever … He understood how to manage queens like that,” Quinn informed Page Six. “Reggie and I talked and chuckled about this practically every day for a week.”
Emmy-award-winning Wells was at one time or another the go-to artist for A Listers consisting of Beyonce, Halle Berry, Michelle Obama, Beverly Johnson, Chaka Khan, and Oprah Winfrey, who he dealt with for almost 3 years.

Quinn stated she constantly eagerly anticipated when Franklin would have her hire Wells since “we would laugh frantically. The stories he shared … simply extraordinary,” she stated.
Possibly, Wells would have sympathized with us back in 2016 when she scolded us at her 74th birthday celebration for blogging about her presumably triggering a turmoil throughout an efficiency of “The Color Purple” on Broadway.
A source informed us at the time that Franklin “appeared late to an efficiency at the Jacobs Theatre, used up 6 seats around her, and started holding her phone in the air to snap images of the program.”
At the celebration, she informed us, “I purchase and check out Page Six consistently whenever I pertain to New York. When I get up, I’m checking out The Post. [and that story was] a great deal of BS.” The “Respect” legend advised us to “strike whoever composed [that] over the head. Provide an excellent hit over the head!”
