Hu Ge’s Resistance to Take On “Blossoms Shanghai”

Produced and directed by renowned director Wong Kar-wai (王家衞), presently airing mainland tv series Blooms Shanghai < 繁花> > took an entire 3 years to movie. Embed in the background of Shanghai’s financial boom in the ninetieslead star Hu Ge (胡歌) nearly rejected the possibility to play titular function “Ah Bao” due to the long recording dedication!
