Former Prosecutor Predicts Donald Trump’s Plan if He Loses 2024 Election

Former federal prosecutor Joyce Vance predicted Saturday that if former President Donald Trump loses the 2024 election, he will claim it was stolen by undocumented immigrants.

Trump, the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, will likely have a re-match with Democratic incumbent President Joe Biden. Trump’s campaign, like his 2016 and 2020 run, is based on his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. The MAGA movement is largely rooted in strengthened immigration policy to combat the surge of illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.

On Saturday, Trump made a post to his social media platform, Truth Social, baselessly claiming that Democrats are allowing “unvetted migrants” into America, so that they can vote in the upcoming election. There is no evidence that undocumented immigrants are being registered to vote in any U.S. election.

“It’s becoming more and more obvious to me why the ‘Crazed’ Democrats are allowing millions and millions of totally unvetted migrants into our once great Country. IT’S SO THEY CAN VOTE, VOTE, VOTE,” the former president wrote. “They are signing them up at a rapid pace, without even knowing who the hell they are. It all makes sense now. Republicans better wake up and do something, before it is too late. Are you listening Mitch McConnell?”

Newsweek reached out to Trump and Biden’s campaigns via email for comment.

Vance, who served as the United States attorney for the Northern District of Alabama during the Obama administration, took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post, and a prediction of how he will use this rhetoric moving forward.

“Trump is preparing to claim the 2024 election was stolen from him when he loses,” she wrote.

In the months following Trump’s 2020 loss to Biden, he made unsubstantiated claims that the election was stolen from him via widespread voter fraud. On January 6, 2021, a mob of Trump supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C., to stop Congress from certifying Biden’s Electoral College win.

Trump stands accused by the Department of Justice (DOJ) of four federal felony counts: conspiracy to defraud the United States; conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding; obstruction of and attempt to obstruct an official proceeding; and conspiracy against rights, all regarding his actions surrounding the riot. The former president has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him and claims the case is politically motivated.

Despite the criminal charges against him, Trump continues to claim that the 2020 election was stolen and that the Democrats are continuing to try to rig elections.

In another Truth Social post on Saturday, he wrote: “As the New Year fast approaches, I would like to wish an early New Year’s salutation to Crooked Joe Biden and his group of Radical Left Misfits & Thugs on their never ending attempt to DESTROY OUR NATION through Lawfare, Invasion, and Rigging Elections. They are now scrambling to sign up as many of those millions of people they are illegally allowing into sour Country, in order that they will be ready to VOTE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2024.”
