Minister of Education Fayval Williams states the expulsion of 2 female trainees after they were seen kissing in a video, provides the impression that St. James High School stopped working to stick to the Education Regulation.
The women were expelled in January after among them published a two-second video of them on her Whatsapp status.
The mom of among the trainee informed The Gleaner that she dealt with troubles in getting her registered at another organization in the parish.
Talking to Radio Jamaica News on Tuesday early morning, Education Minister Fayval Williams stated the ministry is waiting for the findings of St. James High School’s board.
“Based on what we’ve heard the mom state … it appears that those actions were not followed, so now it returns to the board to do their examination to figure out precisely what was done or not done and after that the board will have all the details from all sides to be able to make a reasonable choice about how the board progresses with concerns to any disciplinary action that might or might not be required,” Mrs. Williams recommended.
