The dust storm at night followed a bright afternoon when the temperature level reached around 35 degrees Celsius.

Previously on Monday, IMD stated light to moderate strength rain would likely happen in Delhi-NCR.

“Light to moderate strength rain would take place over and adjacent locations of separated locations of Delhi (Narela, Bawana, Alipur, Burari, Kanjhawala, Rohini, Badili), NCR (Loni Dehat) Kharkhoda (Haryana) Chandpur, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithor, Amroha,” Regional Met Centre New Delhi stated in a post on X.

Previously, the India Meteorological Department on Sunday stated that the temperature level in Delhi is anticipated to stay around 38 degrees Celsius in the coming 2-3 days including that there is a possibility of light rain on Monday.

Speaking with ANI, IMD Senior Scientist Dr Naresh Kumar stated that in the next 4-5 days, the temperature level can reach 44 degrees Celsius in Eastern India.

“In Delhi, our quote is that the temperature level is anticipated to stay around 38 degrees Celsius in the coming 2-3 days. After this, it might increase gradually by 1-2 degrees and with it, there is a possibility of light rain tomorrow … At present, if you discuss Eastern India, the temperature level has actually reached 44 degrees Celsius in 1-2 stations. In the next 4-5 days, the temperature level can reach 44 degrees Celsius in Eastern India, and in Northwest India, there is no hope of it being near 40 or more than 41 degrees Celsius,” Kumar stated.
