Arsenal handed team news boost vs Man City as triple injury update spotted

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel were spotted with the Arsenal team ahead of Sunday’s clash against Manchester City, providing the Gunners with a triple boost.

Despite doubts around injuries, all three team members were seen on the Gunners’ pre-game walk. They are set to play the current Premier League champions at Etihad Stadium. Saka had a muscle problem, Martinelli a foot issue and Gabriel an Achilles injury.

All three being involved in the pre-match routine bodes well although Saka was also seen on a pre-game walk for a game in October but didn’t play.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, when asked about the injured trio, said: “Yeah there’s a chance [of them playing]. They haven’t trained. [On Saturday] We have another session, so there’s a chance they can be available.”, reports Football London.

If Arsenal scoops up all three points in Manchester, they could move four points ahead of City. But it would take a win at the Etihad, which they haven’t done since December 2015.

Arteta also shared his thoughts on the upcoming game, saying: “Yeah we had some clashes, in the FA Cup as well and in the Community Shield. It’s all great experiences. They have raised the bar in this league and football in general to levels that haven’t been seen before.”

“That’s the beauty of this sport because it makes you better and challenges you more. You have to keep up with that pace and that’s what we’re trying to do.”
