What’s taking place on April 8?
A complete solar eclipse, which takes place when the moon and sun remain in total direct line of each other from a particular place in the world.
The whole procedure of the moon slowly moving past the sun, casting a shadow in the world, will take 2 hours and 21 minutes. At its peak minutes in Ottawa, in between 3:25 p.m. and 3:27 p.m., 98.9 percent of the sun will be concealed behind the moon.
Brockville, Kingston, Cornwall and Montreal will have a 100 percent eclipse.
