The first baby born on Christmas Day was a little boy born at Mossel Bay Hospital to Nadine Joseph.

More than 200 babies were born on Christmas Day in the Western Cape.
The provincial health department announced on Tuesday that 231 babies were born at public health facilities throughout the province.
As of midnight on 25 December 2023, the total comprised 111 boys and 120 girls.
