HOUSTON (AP)– A United flight from Houston to Fort Myers, Texas, was required reverse Monday after among the airplane’s engines ignited.
Numerous of the 167 guests aboard the Boeing 737 took video revealing a line of flames shooting out of the engine, KTRK-TV reported.
“I keep in mind there was simply this brilliant, flashing light that came through the window, and it seemed like a bomb went off, and after that it was simply a strobe of fire out the window,” stated David Gruninger, who was on the linking flight home to Florida with 15 of his buddies after participating in a wedding event in Mexico.

“It was an extremely rough trip back, and it was a quite severe landing,” Gruninger informed KTRK. “This is something I’ll keep in mind each time I get on a flight now.”
