‎Cabinet endorses rules for contracting companies without regional HQ

The Saudi Cabinet chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, endorsed in its session today, Dec. 26, controls for government agencies’ contracts with companies that do not have a regional headquarters in the Kingdom and the related parties. 

As reported by the Saudi News Agency, the Cabinet also agreed to amend Article (14) of the Private Health Institutions Law, to stipulate that licensing either general medical complex or specialized medical complex, there must be at  least one consultant physician or a deputy physician, as per the relevant regulations may specify, in each of the main licensed specialties, as well as at least one or two nurses allocated for each clinic. 

Moreover, the Council reviewed the national economy’s 2023 results and development plans, programs and projects accomplished within the year, that will have the greatest impact in enhancing the process of comprehensive economic development in various regions across the Kingdom and achieving the goals of (Vision 2030).

Saudi Arabia’s government will not contract any foreign company or commercial entity that has headquarters in the region, other than the Kingdom, starting from Jan. 1, 2024, Argaam earlier reported.
