After months of anticipation, President Biden lastly signed the TikTok divestment into law today. It will require ByteDance to either offer TikTok to another business within a year, or see the app prohibited from United States app shops. Is this a sensible transfer to rid control of the social app from the Chinese federal government, or is it federal government overreach before TikTok has done anything incorrect?
