(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines: THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) supports a movement by 2 legislators to do away with the Senior Citizen’s Purchase Slip Booklet, in action to various grievances from the senior.
DSWD representative Romel Lopez stated on Friday that “in previous years, the Department got numerous issues and problems through numerous ways of interaction relative to the availment of elderly person discount rates.”
