Christopher Nolan just recently moderated a panel for Menstruationthe Showtime series that stars Nathan Fielder and Emma Stone.
Benny Safdiewho starred in Nolan’s Oppenheimeris a co-creator of the series along with Fielder. In the panel that the cable television network shared on YouTubeNolan applauded the program, stating, “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen on tv before.”
“I believe the program is extraordinary,” Nolan stated.
Nolan stated that this kind of program might just be made now throughout the “anarchy of the streaming age” which “tone is the star” of the series– comparing it to the very first season of David Lynch’s Twin Peaks
“Congratulations on an unbelievable program that’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen on tv before. There are so couple of programs that occur that truly have no precedence,” Nolan stated as the panel ended. “You’re returning to things like Twin Peaksor The Prisoneror Dennis Potter’s Singing Detective and things like that, so you’re in an incredible area, and I can’t wait to overtake the climax.”

Menstruation is a satirical black funny thriller that premiered on Showtime on Nov. 12, 2023. Stone and Fielder star as a couple shooting a program for HGTV while they think they’ve been cursed. Safdie likewise stars as the manufacturer of program within the program.
