(UPDATE) A minimum of 9 individuals were eliminated and more than 800 hurt on Wednesday by a 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Taiwan that harmed lots of structures and triggered tsunami cautions that encompassed Japan and the Philippines before being raised.

Authorities stated the quake was the greatest to shake the island in years and cautioned of more tremblings in the days ahead.
